11:00 pm - A fruit-ful day
Harvested my first crop of the year -- Star Stella cherries. Picked all the fruit off the tree then enjoyed eating it fresh off the tree. There's nothing quite like eating food that you've grown yourself . . .

Went to see "Over the Hedge" after I finished the fruit harvest. Meh. It was mildly amusing at best. William Shatner was funny though as a rather hammy opossum and the skunk's Pepe le Pew imitation storyline was cute -- luckily for her, she had better success than M. le Pew generally does. I liked the computer animation too. Was glad I didn't pay full price though (I went to the cheapo matinee) -- the movie was not worth the $9.50 I would have been charged.

Went clothes shopping after that. One of the stores I like to shop at had summer clothing at 70% off, so I ended up with several additions to my wardrobe. I bought 3 dresses, one white, one black and one white with a dark green and yellow flower print with hunter green piping. I also bought 2 summer sweaters, one yellow crochet, the other a light sage-y green with white embroidery and a handbag that matched it. (I like matching sets.)

Finished the day at the local Barnes & Noble Cafe where I nibbled a spinach-and-feta-filled pretzel and had a frappuchino as a light supper while chatting with one of my neighbors that I hadn't seen for a while. I tried the cafe's new banana and coconut frappucino -- it was VILE, but the Starbuck's employees gladly made me a java chip replacement when I told them how awful the new flavour was. Whoever came up with the combination of coffee, banana and coconut obviously has no functioning tastebuds -- BLEH!!!! The java chip rocked though. :)

Huh. To me, coffee, banana, and coconut doesn't sound awful. Then again, I don't drink coffee unless it has a LOT of chocolate in it. *G* But it doesn't sound like it would make a bad combination.

I'm curious - do you wear a lot of dresses? I always find myself buying dresses, thinking, "Oh, this will be great to wear ______" and then I never wear it. I have dresses in the closet with the tags still on. *sigh*

I figured it was worth a try, especially since I have an adventurous palate.

Boy was I wrong!!! :P

Might try the "creme" version though -- no coffee in that, and it sounds kind of like a non-alcoholic frozen pina colada. Worst case scenario is I get another java chip replacement. (I <3 mocha and java chip frappuchinos!)

As for my wardrobe, I generally wear dresses and skirts, usually long ones. I'm not keen on pants, especially in the summer -- too hot! A nice long skirt/dress in a light fabric with sandals is sooooooooooooo much cooler and more comfortable to move around in!!!!
