Batman
Congratulations! You scored a super 63%!
Cool, calm and powerful. Whilst your actual super abilities may not be
anything too dazzling, you have earnt the respect of both friends and
enemies in response to your amazing fighting skills, strategic combat
Luckily you have access to the greens which can fund all your majorly
cool gadgets, vehicles and weapons! Also, you're reluctant but still
accepting to the idea of having a teammate/side-kick, which just makes
everything a whole lotta fun, doesn't it now!
On the down side, you've probably suffered some sort of trauma at a
young age (that's why we don't talk to the old man near the swings,
Similar to the Wolverine, your past is a base for your current
motivation, undertaking some kind of personal vow in search of justice.
All in all though, you're one tough nut. There's not a lot of people
who have the minerals to go up against you, and you're experienced
enough not to get cocky and let the little things like never finding
happiness get you down!
My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 48% on Heropoints
Well isn't this a COINCIDENCE . . .
Not only do I LIVE in Gotham, but I've also MET Batman -- Adam West -- AND one of his arch-nemesii, the Riddler -- Frank Gorshin -- and I have the pictures to prove it!!!
What're the odds . . .
When I was growing up I used to love the Batman TV series & watched it a lot. Then I saw the movies, and liked the darker, less silly way the character was presented there, much more in line with the dark, brooding comic book original. I liked the takes that Michael Keaton & Val Kilmer took on the character and I look forward to seeing what Christian Bale will do in the soon-to-be-released next Batman film.
I use a few Batman action figures on my home altar too -- my altar has TONS of action figures and toys on it -- I use him to represent Ullr as well as the Male elemental for Air. (Storm from X-men is the Female Air elemental figure, as well as occasionally pulling "double duty" as the Orisha Oya.)
I like the duality of the character -- the dark side combined with the light -- and his quiet power. He isn't flashy -- he just IS.
I like that.
Current Mood: brooding
Current Music: Theme from "Batman" TV show
what a great idea! It never occurred to me to use action figures as god/dess representatives!
I actually have a stuffed version of Hagrid that's really well made, and I like him as a god figure. I really want to get him some antlers...but I've wanted that for years. Rob doesn't want me to take the horns off some stuffed reindeer...but that's the only way I can think of to get the right size, you know?
You could examine the stuffed reindeer antlers and copy them without having to de-antler the poor stuffed critter.
I've used toys for years -- plastic action figures and Barbie-type dolls are the best, since they are (relatively) inexpensive, low-maintenance, washable and almost unbreakable -- an important consideration for me since my kitties have a habit of trying get onto my altar and often knock things over onto the floor. (I've lost several oriental ceramic figurines that way :( )
My Lord and Lady figures are Belle and the Beast (from Disney's 1991 "Beauty and the Beast") -- the Beast has a horned Beast-head that is removable, revealing the handsome Prince Charming underneath. It was just tooooooooooooo perfect!!! Plus I like having a Lady who is SMART and loves books and learning -- brains are JUST as important as beauty, to me, maybe even more so . . .
As for the antler issue, come Christmas there are TONS of stuffed antlers on headbands around -- you could re-purpose a set of those. If you need something sized more in proportion to a doll than a human, try using some of the pet-proportioned antlers sold at pet stores at that time of year -- one cat-set might prove to be just right, size-wise, depending on how big your Hagrid is -- I've seen a few very large ones, so maybe a dog-set or a child-set might work better -- hard to say without actually seeing your doll.
EEP!!!!!!!!! Seems I'm a Baatman too! Its gotta be the gadgets....
The toys ARE cool, but *I* think it's because great minds think alike!!
na na na na na na na na na perse!
Robin: "Boy! That was our closest call ever! I have to admit that I was pretty scared!"
Batman: "I wasn't scared in the least."
Robin: "Not at all?"
Batman: "Haven't you noticed how we always escape the vicious ensnarements of our enemies?"
Robin: "Yeah, because we're smarter than they are!"
Batman: "I like to think it's because our hearts are pure."
