12:23 pm - Movies for a snowy December day
It's snowing outside now -- about an inch or so has fallen by me and the trees are all coated in a layer of white. The kitties have been avidly watching the birds in the pear tree outside, fascinated as only felines can be by avians. They're fun to watch, as are the birds themselves.

It looks like a holiday card outside, so I've decided to take a page from hrafnkell's book and get into the spirit of the season by watching Christmas movies. I have a few I bought on DVD recently -- one is a favorite, the musical "Scrooge", and the other is a movie about the World War I Christmas truce called "Joyeux Noel" that I bought because it looked interesting and because it had been nominated for various awards, so it can't be that bad.

I really enjoyed Joyeux Noel when I watched it a couple of years ago. It's an inspiring story, definitely.

I really enjoyed that film -- it'll definitely be included in my "holiday classics" for watching in future seasons! (And not just because of the bagpipers!)
