You scored as Nurturing Parent. The Nurturing Parent is the ego state that is caring, encouraging and reassuring. People who score high in this state believe, protect and nurture.

While I had the highest score for Nurturing Parent, I also scored fairly high in the other categories too. I'm not sure what the descriptions of the other types are though, since I didn't see a link for them on the results page. I'm not sure what to think of my scores in the other categories, especially since I put a neutral answer for QUITE a few of the questions.

I'd certainly LIKE to think of myself as nurturing, even though I also scored middling-high as Controlling Parent. I'd like to hope that I'm not controlling, but maybe I'm wrong -- I certainly don't think of myself as being that way!!

After re-doing the quiz with answers that were not necessarily the ones I chose, I managed to get "Controlling Parent" as a high score, just so I could see what the description was.

"You scored as Controlling Parent. The critical parent is the ego state that educates, instructs and sometimes criticizes and corrects. Sometimes referred to as the "controlling parent", people who score high in this area can be critical and domineering, but also are good teachers."

Well, now that I have seen the description, I feel a bit better about my (original, non-forced) score in that category. It in fact makes sense, given that one of the ways in which I make money is as a trainer. I also happen to enjoy teaching too, so I *guess* that accounts for my middling-high score there.

I still really hope that I don't come across as being controlling though, since I've had to deal with critical and domineering people in the past and I'd HATE to think I was one too . . .
