How will you be suspended from LJ? by Anonymous LJ User

The management of LiveJournal has done it again.

elaboration and ponderosa121 have had their journals suspended because of their artwork, and vikingcarrot and cluegirl have gotten in trouble for art that they posted and later edited with a character age statement and even removed prior to being contacted by the LJ Abuse team. Instead of a strike through their names, however, they are bolded and bolded user names no longer show up on people's friends lists. Bit sneaky, that . . .

Coming on the heels of Strikethrough just a few weeks back, this doesn't bode well for the future of free speech at Live Journal, so I have taken this opportunity to create several InsaneJournal backups (so far empty) for Leaves from the Tree, Diary of a Gardening Goddess and Notes from the Underworld.

Why all of them? Well, the truly wonderful thing that stimulated me to do this was that ALL the LiveJournals of elaboration and ponderosa121 were suspended -- even the innoucous one devoted to recipes! So if this LJ gets the ax for some reason, they ALL die. And losing years worth of content, after I just spent days uploading it not that long ago, is simply unacceptable.
