|03:48 pm - I guess I don't act my age|
Gakked from bethynyc:
My New York age is 18
This New York age puts you-generally speaking-into the young category. That's what you were hoping for, right? Run and tell your friends. Then get drunk (as usual). Then sleep it off. Then pop an Adderall. Then come back and consider experimenting with a more mature type of New York life (just once in a while). Have you ever been to the Village Vanguard or the Living Theatre? Eaten at Elaine's? Taken a date to Michael Feinstein? Before you laugh, check 'em out and see what old-school NYC experiences you can add to the new.
Does your age reflect how you're living? Let us know.

I love the punked-out mohawk icon that goes with this meme. :)
I also find it deeply amusing that I am apparently acting about a quarter-century too young for my chronological age. Guess I'm channeling Honoré Lachaille! :D
I decided to do a bit of revamping of the links list here, since I found out Gerpok has dumped the old data from my Gerpok page, which I found most annoying, as it used to be more representative of my musical tastes than what was on my AudioScrobbler page, which is now being run by Last.fm (which used to be a separate site when I set up that page). At least my Last.fm page has my old info, so it is now the one on my links list.
I noticed that Last.fm has made a few changes to the site, most notably the addition of tags, so I've been busy going through my music list adding them as I play tunes from my MP3 collection. As you can see from the list so far, my tastes range from cajun to medieval to electronica, with a ton of pagan, goth and deutschsprechende bands in there. I've also fiddled with my profile page here, as the thingy I'd had there before to show what I've been listening to lately had stopped working. I tried putting in the Last.fm Flash widget, but LJ wouldn't let it work right, so I replaced it with one of the graphic images, which at least works, even though it isn't as kewl-looking.
I do find that Last.fm is slow to list my tracks and also doesn't always recognize my music, both of which were non-issues for Gerpok. I guess if a band isn't in their approved list, it doesn't exist. Plus they also have some bands listed as what they aren't, like The Violets, which are sooooo not a band from the UK.
~~ likes little known bands ~~
