The dolts have listened.
The community and journal suspension spree LJ was on is now being reversed. lolita07 has been restored, as has pornish_pixies. I was never a member of that latter community, but the more rebel part of me is thinking of joining it now -- just 'cause. >:-D
I'm sure other suspended journals will be restored soon, because 100 pages of angry comments about the suspension spree had an effect, since many of those comments indicated that folks in LJ-land were prepared to boycott any paid service until this was reversed.
And since it's all about the benjamins, it was.
(At least until the next time.)
While the hoo-ha was ocurring, a lot of fandom friends moved over to GreatestJournal, so like a lemming, I did too -- so please feel free to add me to your GJ Friends list. :)
If this LJ of mine ever does get deleted/suspended/whatever by The Powers That Be, I'll be using my DeadJournal, in case any one is looking for me. Everyone blathers on about GJ, but for me, DJ is where I'd rather be. After all, I like their attitude -- "DeadJournal.com is a journal site (much like LiveJournal), but as you will quickly see, not all journals are apple pie and fruitcakes. Here is where you find the journals that nobody else wants to see, or even host. We love pissed off people, if you're a pissed off person who hates incompetence, please sign up now!" It was one of the reasons I signed up with them, well before I ever had a Live Journal. Given what's happened lately, I hope that at least a few people I know decide to have back-up journals hosted there, since it would be nice to have friends there. If you are on DJ, please feel free to Friend me!

Still, all in all, it's nice to know that at least for this one time, the voices of the Little People were heard. Even if said Little Folk no longer really trust the owners of this site -- and with good reason. :-/
