|09:18 pm - Seeing "The Invisible"|
Saw a movie by accident today. I went to see "Spiderman 3" at the movie theater but didn't feel like hanging around until the next showing. Instead, I saw "The Invisible", a remake of a Swedish film.
The plot was that a young man has had his spirit separated from his body by a violent act, and his spirit is trying to reunite with it. To do so, he needs for his body to be found, but nobody can see or hear his spirit.
The plot sounds a bit flimsy, and it was at times, but I liked the movie more for the characters it had and for the portrait it drew of a certain set of social classes. I thought it was rather well done and I was happy to have happened upon it, even though I'd had no intention of seeing it prior to my arrival at the theater.
Sadly, I think this movie will disappear from screens very soon, with as little fanfare as it arrived. That's rather a pity, since it's a good film and I enjoyed the lead characters quite a bit.
