The official Central Park rainfall total from early Sunday to Monday morning was 7.81 inches. The previous record for April 15th was 1.8 inches, set in 1906. Other parts of the area got more, like the 8.21 inches of rain that fell in White Plains.
And the rain is still falling, albeit as drizzle at the moment. More rain is expected for tonight and tomorrow, though.

Yup -- with other areas getting more, as mentioned. I'm not quite sure exactly how much my neighborhood got, since my rainfall meter stopped working. (I think it had a nervous breakdown.) I'm betting I'm in the 8" range, though, based on where I am.
It's also been very cold here -- it's 42 degrees F now, but it feels like 35. My forsythia and apricots haven't bloomed yet and the crocus have keeled over from the cold.
The calendar may say it's the middle of Spring, but it sure doesn't feel like it!!!
