|05:58 pm - Guess what I picked up in India . . .|
I saw quite a few royal palaces while in India, most of which had quarters for the Maharaja's harem -- usually one apartment for each of his wives (a few had just one or two, most had more -- one had 12!) plus a dormitory for the concubines that made up the rest of the harem. The apartments were lovely -- sometimes some of the original furniture was still there, as in the palace at Bikaner, but most were only the richly ornamented walls and carved stone screens behind which the members of the harem would conceal themselves.
Being pretty monagamous, you can see my harem is on the small side -- and well guarded by a dragon!! I just wish the devotion & obedience level were higher though -- maybe that's some slaves' way of "requesting" some "correction" perhaps . . .
