|10:42 pm - I hate hot humid weather|
My part of NYC hit 100 degrees today, with high humidity making it feel even worse. Even at this hour the temperature on my thermometer is still in the mid-90s.
Tomorrow it will be the same, or even worse -- a heat index of 110 or more is predicted.
In heat like this, we might even have a blackout. A nearby part of the city had a 10-day blackout a few weeks ago when it was hot for a few days, although not as hot as today was and tomorrow likely will be. And a few years ago at around this time most of the northeastern US had a massive blackout during the heat wave that was occuring then.

Its too hot for me to sleep.
Same here. Weather like this is Teh Suck. :P
I'll be happy if we can avoid another blackout, given how weak the grid is by me and the load placed on it today and tomorrow. The big blackout was awful to deal with when there was no electricity for fans or AC -- in weather like this another one could be life-threatening even for the non-elderly. And I'm not happy that area near me was out for TEN DAYS a few weeks back either.

Before the heatwave reached NYC, it hovered over Minnesota, where I had to announce the Waterama parade (Minnesota's second largest!) in 100° heat.
