|10:05 pm - Record-breaking snow today|
The National Weather Service said 26.9 inches of snow had fallen in Central Park, the most since record-keeping started in 1869. The old record was 26.4 inches in December 1947.
My car is buried in snow up to its roof.
The temperature will be dropping to 17 degrees or less soon.

Oh man, that's crazy. Guess you probably don't want to hear that we only got about 2" here in upstate NY, if that. My parents in Lancaster PA got 8" and my sister in Conshohocken, PA got about 18" Kind of an odd role reversal. But it's hard to imagine that we won't be getting ours sometime real soon.
~~ blows a raspberry at you ~~
My car still isn't dug out -- I can't do it because I hurt my back pretty badly & I haven't been able to get anyone else to do it for me.
Luckily, someone shoveled my sidewalk for me. Don't know who though, so I'm not sure who to thank for that bit of kindness. I wouldn't have been able to shovel it myself. (I can't even go up and down the stairs at this point.)
The good news is that it'll warm up a lot in the next few days so the car will probably be out of the ice and snow soon on its own.
I can't WAIT for Spring to arrive . . .
